About our Presenters
Jennifer Francis, Principal, Cafe Noir Consulting
Jennifer Francis is an independent strategic advisor. She has over 25 years of experience in the high tech industry. Until recently, she was the Vice President of the Financial Analytics business at IBM, prior to that she was the Vice President of Business Development at Cognos, managing their mergers and acquisitions as well as their technology partnerships. Over the span of her career, Jennifer has held a variety of executive positions in product management, product marketing and development at Cognos and startup executive experience at Watchfire.
Robin McIntyre, Senior Director, Transformation, The Ottawa Hospital
Robin McIntyre currently holds the position Senior Director, Transformation at The Ottawa Hospital. Prior to this role, she was Regional President, Rogers Communications Inc, with responsibility for the profit and loss results of the video, internet & residential phone services in the Ottawa area. Under Robin's direction, Rogers Ottawa became the region with the highest profitability while achieving "Best in Class" service metrics.
A substantial portion of her career has been dedicated to roles in Engineering and Network Operations. In this capacity, she was at the forefront of a number of new product launches which included high speed internet, high definition television and telephony.
Robin has received numerous awards, including the Women's Business Network - Corporate Businesswoman of the Year, the Canadian Women in Communications - Trailblazer Award and the Rogers Engineering Award. She graduated from the University of Waterloo and holds a US/European patent.
In 2010, she received her ICD designation. She has held the position of Chair of OCRI (Ottawa Centre of Research and Innovation) from 2009 to 2010 and been a Board member as the organization has transitioned to Invest Ottawa.
Robin's most satisfying professional accomplishments has been building high performance teams that achieve exceptional results, especially through transition.
